Alan Cameron is a Senior Adviser at Neu Capital.
Mr Cameron has over 30 years of experience in asset-backed finance and securitisation markets.
He has worked in both the UK and Australia on transactions across the UK, continental Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Mr Cameron’s extensive background includes working with and managing businesses that introduced new asset classes to developing markets. He has been intimately involved in the evolution of deal structuring and execution over his career response reacting to dynamic market changes, including regulatory shifts and the GFC in 2008.
For the past 16 years, he was an Executive Director and Head of Securitisation and Asset-Backed Structured Finance at Macquarie Group, based in Sydney, with responsibilities for Europe and Asia.
The business at Macquarie was predominantly focused on the provision of debt services to a range of companies at various stages of growth. These ranged from larger bond market flow style relationships to more esoteric, bespoke, often startup opportunities. Mr Cameron established several new startup relationships for the group over time. In a number of cases, the bank invested equity capital alongside their traditional debt products to participate in the expected enterprise value creation brought by the team’s structuring expertise and securitisation franchise. Mr Cameron has sat on the board of numerous investee companies.
He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and has a B. Com from the University of Edinburgh.
As a Senior Adviser at Neu Capital, Mr. Cameron will be focusing on bringing strategic insights and oversight to deals, actively engaging with Neu’s investment committee, and supporting the growth of our UK expansion.
