Freshta Mayar is Managing Director at Neu Capital.
With a career spanning 20 years, Freshta is a highly credentialled institutional banker, working in both domestic and international markets across investment banking, capital markets, leverage and fund finance, corporate and transactional banking. Upon return from the UK, Ms. Mayar pioneered into the world of Fintech and start-ups as Head of Institutional Investors for a consumer finance marketplace. She is a big advocate of ESG / Sustainable Finance and passionate about the role it will play in financing in the future having hosted and led multiple industry events on this subject matter.
Ms. Mayar has most recently worked for Westpac in its Debt Products team as a lead Originations Director; but also has experience leading Fund Finance transactions as co-ordinator and arranger whilst working for Lloyds Bank in London for the Capital Markets team. She has deep experience across multiple products including M&A both private equity led and corporate through her time with Credit Suisse and BOSI / Lloyds Bank.
Ms. Mayar was a finalist for the Women in Banking and Finance (“WiBF”) award for achievement in Institutional Banking. Outside of banking, she has facilitated accelerator programs focused on women and youth in order to drive entrepreneurial spirit. Ms. Mayar has led and facilitated Empowerment Coaching and Interview Panel Skills Training Programs for female employees in the banking sector; and she has continuously championed gender diversity and inclusion as a panel speaker, facilitator and mentor.
Ms. Mayar has a double degree in Commerce (Finance) and Laws from the University of New South Wales.
